Easy Life Insurance Optional Covers

Optional covers can be added onto your Easy Life Insurance policy, to provide additional protection against certain events. You can choose one or more of the following optional covers.

 

Optional Accident Cover

Accident Cover provides an additional lump sum payment up to $335,000 in the event of your or any other life insured’s Accidental Death or Accidental Serious Injury to help cover any additional final expenses or medical bills. The combined Easy Life Insurance and Accident Cover Benefit Amount cannot exceed $350,000.

Under this option you would be covered for a range of Accidental Serious Injuries, including:

  • Blindness
  • Coma
  • Loss of Hearing
  • Loss of Speech
  • Major Burns
  • Major Head Trauma
  • Paralysis

 

What’s not covered under Accident Cover?

We will not pay an Accident Cover benefit if the claim is a result of:

  • Death by natural causes, illness, an intentional self-inflicted injury, suicide or attempted suicide
  • War or taking part in a riot or civil commotion
  • Engaging in criminal activity or illegal acts
  • Consumption of intoxicating liquor or drugs
  • Having a dangerous occupation or pastime
  • Being a pilot or crew member of any aircraft, or engaging in any aerial activity, except being a fare-paying passenger on a recognised airline which is not listed as an airline banned or restricted by the European Commission.

 

Optional Children’s Cover

You never want your children to get seriously ill, however it can help to have a financial plan in place in case something does happen to them. With our optional Children’s Cover, you can cover your dependent children aged 2 – 18 in case they suffer an accidental death or a covered Child Trauma event.

You simply choose your benefit from $10,000 up to $50,000, and you can have a financial safety net against Childhood Trauma events such as Bacterial Meningitis, Specified Cancer, Encephalitis, Loss of Hearing, Loss of Sight, Major Head Trauma, Major Burns and Paralysis. Your chosen lump sum payment could help to cover hospital visits, medicine or treatment, school fees or additional tutoring required.

What’s not covered under Children’s Cover?

  • A congenital condition
  • Any intentional act of the Policy Owner or any person who will be entitled to all or part of the benefit amount
  • A pre-existing medical condition
  • An injury occurs or an illness becomes apparent within 90 days of starting your policy
  • Consumption of intoxicating liquor or drugs
